The Chicago Department of Aviation thanks you for sharing airport projects or individuals that embrace the principles of the Sustainable Airport Manual and exemplify sustainability leadership in the aviation industry. Our award nomination period has now closed. Award recipients will be announced at the Airports Going Green Conference.

Chicago Department of Aviation 2011 Sustainability Report

The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) is pleased to announce the much-anticipated release of its 2011 Sustainability Report, which highlights the CDA's industry-leading sustainability accomplishments.

Airports Going Green

The aviation industry has a long history of innovation and a pioneering spirit. It is an industry that is founded on pushing the envelope and continuously reaching higher to create a better standard of living.

Now, as our world grapples with the challenge of protecting our environment for future generations, the aviation industry again has an opportunity to lead by example.

We are looking to the future, and we look forward to working with all of you, with industry experts, airport and airline professionals, with contractors and environmentalists, to collaborate on how to continue the ground-breaking trend of Airports Going Green.
